It burns going down your throat, the magma rising, and erupting, spilling over, burning whatever is in its path. Our words are fire, hurled at those unfortunates in our vicinity. The hardening of the lava in our hearts is heavy, and we carry it, no matter the burden. What will unclog the plaques and allow blood to flow freely through us? Will we use the medicine of forgiveness or will we continue to swallow resentment and clog our arteries? Something’s gotta give.
